Malcolm Riordan is a photographer and architectural historian from Chicago, Illinois.

Born and raised on Chicago’s north side, I have held a passion for local history, restoration and decolonial theory my whole life. I work primarily on medium format film, with a focus on historic architecture and the contemporary Chicago music community.

I am of the opinion that some of the best culture in all of the United States can be found in the City of Chicago, and that is something I will never take for granted. There is deep meaning in the endurance of the city’s historic public and private spaces, and these spaces must be protected at all costs.
